3 Steps to Sexy Abs

Beach season has come and gone. The days are short, the nights long and the chill in the air bites right to the bone. But, it won’t be all that long until beach season returns and with little exception everyone will want to represent with sexy abs.

No doubt they look good on those hot summer days on the beach but frankly, sexy abs are more than just good looks. A strong, toned core represents good health as a result of proper nutrition and fitness prowess.

But, not everyone will have a six pack. In fact, most will not. Though genetically available to most everyone, including women, to truly have those washboard cuts demands a lifestyle that simply is not sustainable for most. But a 6 pack is not the definition of sexy abs. Flat, tight and toned abs are sexy and those can be achieved and sustained by all!

Of course abs are first made in the kitchen. But it does take some physical work as well. So what are some easy, effective, powerful movements by which sexy abs can be achieved? There are 3 to consider that  can be done anywhere, anytime and when combined with proper nutrition, will deliver toned, tight abs that will boost confidence, deliver a smile when upon a look in the mirror and allow the possessor to show off and enjoy some fun in the sun with no fear or shame! In fact, they just might get a bit of extra attention! How about it?

V-Ups

Lie on the floor with arms stretched overhead and legs very slightly bent at the knee. Using a slow and controlled motion, bring the arms and legs together over the waist, so that only the lower back and butt are touching the floor. Hold for a couple seconds and roll back down to starting position. NOTE: Pay attention to the spine rolling down from the tail bone to the neck-one vertebrae at a time as the legs lower simultaneously.

Plank

Beginning on the stomach, facing down to the floor with palms resting on the floor as if about to do a push-up. Then push up onto the toes with forearms on the floor. Keep the back flat and straight throughout the exercise.. Keep everything from the shoulders down flat and aligned. Hold the abs in without holding the breath and stay in this position for 20-60 seconds, or longer! Slowly lower to starting position.

Bicycle Crunches

Simply lie flat on the floor and put hands beside head. Bring knees up to about 45 degree angle. Slowly move the legs like you are pedaling a bike, and touch opposite elbow to knee. Don’t forget to breathe.

Those are 3 powerful and effective moves to help achieve those sexy abs for the summer but most of all for wellness. Incorporated into any fitness routine and prepare to show off! Of course, proper nutrition included!
